What do security guard patrols actually do?
If you have no external security you may hire a security company to have a security guard patrol for one or two visits per night and perhaps on a Saturday and Sunday during the day.
What do the thieves do?
They wait until the security guard patrol has visited and then they do whatever they want to; probably thinking they have 3 or 4 hours to work.
